Cylindrical handles are tapered for a modern look, with a small flare at the end to aid in their display. Each handle is forged from solid high carbon steel, which gives them a heavy, quality feel. A gleaming high gloss chrome finish accentuates the sleek angled lines of this set. Chromium has been in use for centuries as a pigment and it is found as a component in many precious gems; chromium provides the red hue in rubies and some of the green hues seen in emeralds.
