The end of the shaving brush handle is flattened so it can be set down securely while in use with the bristles pointing upward if needed. Silvertip badger bristles are crafted from finer and more pliable badger hair and provide a better lather than brushes crafted from pure badger or synthetic fibers. Each hair is fit to the handle in such a way that no trimming of the ends is needed to obtain the rounded shape of the brush head. Because the tips of each hair remains uncut there is no coarse stiff feel to them when used.
