This two piece GERmanikure crystal glass file set is handcrafted in the Czech Republic from thick Bohemian glass and specially formulated and tempered against breaking. Unlike thinner cheap imitations where the file may break or texture may eventually scrape or even peel off like a sticker the texture on this file is chemically etched directly into the thick glass and is impossible to wear off. Chemical etching gently removes a portion of the surface of the file leaving behind random yet evenly placed rounded peaks. As a result this file can actually be used either wet or dry in both directions without causing microscopic frays and gouges on either nails or cuticles.

5.5 inch nail file
Most nail files on the market today are single direction files that "sand" the nail down. Instead a crystal glass nail file seals the edge of the nail with every stroke regardless whether that stroke is backwards forwards or a combination of both. After filing with a crystal glass nail file and examined at many times magnification a freshly filed nail edge is smooth and snag free a nail that is filed with a "sanded" nail file has microscopically frayed edges. 140mm (5.5 in) long 3mm thick.

3.5 inch file
Identical to the full size 5.5 inch file this 3.5 inch pocket file is crafted from the same 3mm thick bohemian glass to the same standards you've come to know and expect from the full size file. Its smaller size makes this file well suited for travel in purse glovebox or carry on and sacrifices none of the functionality. 90mm (3.5 in) long 3mm thick.

Smoothing
"Lemon zester" type tools or tools with a grit added to the surface exhibit sharp peaks and irregular valleys in the texture that can gouge or scratch the surface of your nail or bite into living skin. GERmanikure Czech glass files are crafted with a uniform surface texture that safely removes callused skin without gouging living tissue and provides a near-polished nail edge that reduces the risk of cracking and delamination.

Hygienic and Sterilizable
Glass cleans up easily with simple soap and water and is durable enough to hold up to a chemical bath or steam sterilizer (up to 170 degrees Celsius).

Use Wet or Dry
GERmanikure glass files work equally well wet or dry on natural nails acrylics or rough callused areas of skin. Whatever you want to smooth these glass files are strong and durable enough to do the job.

Tough and Durable
GERmanikure crystal glass files aren't as brittle as you might think. The files are crafted of thick authentic Bohemian glass which is chemically hardened and tempered to resist breaking. This special glass treatment not only enhances the clarity and sparkle of the glass but also adds resiliency. While breakage is possible with all glass dropping a GERmanikure crystal glass file from a short distance (such as counter height to floor) will in most cases not break the file.

Suede Case
Even though this thick bohemian glass file is crafted of the finest hardened Czech crystal and designed to last for decades GERmanikure goes a step further. This file comes complete with a custom fitted suede sleeve to provide additional protection. Suede is naturally cushioning and dehumidifying. The case will prevent damage to the file when it is not in use as well as additional shock absorption in case the file is accidentally dropped when not in use.

Optional Vegan Protective Case
Due to popular request for animal-friendly vegan options these glass tools may optionally come with custom fitted vegan pvc protective sleeves. Specify your preference for a vegan case in the comment field during checkout (step 4). If no indication is received your files will ship with leather cases.
