I purchased this set for my 9-year old daughter and I use both the file and the scissors to trim her toe nails. The scissors are extremely sharp and I haven't given her the set as I am nervous about her cutting herself with the scissors. The nail file is wonderful and it smooths rough nails in no time. Again, I haven't used the tweezers and I still think a cuticle pusher would be more useful in such a small set--since it's for the nails and not for the face. The case is very durable and of excellent quality. I highly recommend this set.
